Abstract
Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı'nın en yüksek karar ve danışma organı olan Din İşleri Yüksek Kurulu'nun görevlerinden biri de güncel dini oluşumları incelemektir. Güncel dini oluşumlar içerisinde varlığını en çok hissettiren dini hareketlerden biri de "Selefîlik" adıyla tezahür eden gruplardır. Ancak "Selefî" nitelendirmesi yahut "Selefî Akımı"nın kavramsal çerçevesi net bir zemine oturmamaktadır. Din İşleri Yüksek Kurulu bu problemi göz önünde bulundurarak Selefîliğin kavramsal çerçevesi, tasnifi, teolojisi ve bu olguya nasıl yaklaşılması gerektiğine dair tespit ve tekliflerin belirlenebilmesi için "Selefîlik ve Tarihi Arka Planı" başlıklı ilmî istişare toplantısı düzenlemiştir. 7-8 Aralık 2023 tarihlerinde gerçekleştirilen toplantıda "Selefîlik" konusu bu alanda ihtisas sahibi akademisyenler tarafından etraflıca ele alınmıştır. Bu yazı, mezkur toplantı hakkında ilim camiasına bir nebze de olsa bilgi sunma ve tanıtma amacı taşımaktadır.

Abstract
One of the duties of the Supreme Council of Religious Affairs, which is the highest decision-making and advisory body of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, is to examine current religious formations. One of the religious movements that make their presence felt most among current religious formations is the groups that manifest themselves under the name of "Salafism". However, the definition of "Salafî" or the conceptual framework of the "Salafî Movement" is not established on a clear basis. Taking this problem into consideration, the Supreme Council of Religious Affairs organized a scientific consultation meeting titled "Salafism and Its Historical Background" in order to determine the conceptual framework, classification, theology of Salafism and determinations and proposals on how this phenomenon should be approached. At the meeting held on 7-8 December 2023, the issue of "Salafism" was discussed in detail by academics specialized in this field. This article aims to provide and introduce some information to the scientific community about the meeting in question.
