Peer-Review Guide

Responsibilities of Referees

Contribution to the Evaluation Process
- In our journal, research (research articles, translations) that have passed the evaluation of the Editorial Board are subjected to the review of referees who are experts in their fields within the scope of double-blind refereeing.
- The referee is obliged to take into account the "Referee Evaluation Criteria" in the evaluation process from the moment he/she is assigned through the system and accepts the task.
- It indicates the completion of other articles, works, sources, references, citations, rules and similar deficiencies related to the article.
- Reviewers should identify relevant published works that are not cited by the authors.
- If for any reason he/she cannot review the manuscript, he/she should immediately inform the editor.

Confidentiality
- A reviewer should not share the information contained in a study that he/she has been assigned to review with others before publication.
- Reviewers recognise that manuscripts submitted for review are the private property of the authors. This also applies to reviewers who decline the invitation to review.
- The names of the reviewers are not disclosed/published.
- Since double-blind reviewing is applied in our journal, author/referee information is not included in the article file. The file information of the referees/authors is deleted by the editorial team from the files uploaded to Dergipark.

Impartiality
- Reviewers should be objective in their decision to publish the research they review.
- Comments on the manuscript proposal should be made impartially, and suggestions should be made in such a way that the authors can use them to improve the manuscript.
- Personal criticism of authors is not appropriate.

Ethics
- If the referees detect ethical violations, plagiarism, etc. in the manuscript at any stage of the evaluation process, they should notify the Editor.

Conflicts of interest
- In case of any conflict of interest during the peer review process and in case of assignment outside the field of expertise, it is recommended to present the situation to the Editor and, if necessary, to withdraw from the review.

Remuneration
- No fee is paid to the referees for the review/evaluation procedures.
