Abstract
The relationship between Turks and Europeans dates back centuries. While political conflicts and confrontations were prominent in the early stages of this relationship, significant developments have occurred both culturally and socially. However, these conflicts have negatively influenced and shaped the perceptions of each other held by both groups. In this context, Europeans have formed negative perceptions and stereotypes about Turks, leading to marginalization. These negative perceptions, stereotypes, and marginalization continue to persist to this day. (p. 7)

Abstract
Türkler ile Avrupalılar arasındaki ilişkiler yüzyıllar öncesine dayanmaktadır. Bu ilişkinin başlangıç dönemlerinde siyasal sürtüşmeler ve çatışmalar ön plana çıksa da, hem kültürel hem de toplumsal açıdan bu ilişkilerde önemli gelişmeler yaşandığı görülmektedir. Ancak bu çatışmalar, her iki kesimin birbirleri hakkındaki imajlarını olumsuz etkilemiş ve yönlendirmiştir. Bu bağlamda Avrupalılar, Türkler hakkında olumsuz imajlar ve kalıp yargılar oluşturmuş ve bu ötekileştirmeye sebebiyet vermiştir (s. 7). Günümüzde de bu olumsuz imajlar, kalıp yargılar ve ötekileştirme devam etmektedir.
