Abstract

Turkish language has a wide range of sound events. Sometimes, some of the sounds that are originally in the word are lost for various reasons. These changes will occur during the historical course as well as due to the additions to words. The subject of elision in higher education is one of the important issues that should be taught to students. Explaining this subject especially to foreign students is another issue. In this study, certain elision events are examined in order to set an example for foreign students. It is aimed to explain the subject of elision, which we discussed in our lessons, from another aspect.
