Abstract
İnsanın, tanrının ölümsüzlüğüne öykünmesi ve çeşitli ritüellerle bu amacın peşinden koşması, antik dinlerde rastlanan bir olgudur. Söz konusu ritüeller, antik Yunan dinleri arasında, Dionysos dininde karşılık bulmaktadır. Dionysos dininin mensupları, gerçekleştirdikleri ayinler esnasında tanrının ruhunun o ayine katılanlara nüfuz ettiğine ve bu yolla tanrıdan pay aldıklarına inanıyorlardı. Bu şekilde tanrıdan pay alan kişilerin, belirli bir süreyle tanrılaşmış oldukları ve ahlâkî bir erginlenme yaşadıkları kabul ediliyordu. İnsanın ahlâkî bir çaba çerçevesinde tanrıya benzemesi/tanrıyla bir olması fikri, antik Yunan dinlerinden, antik Yunan felsefesine dönüşüm geçirerek intikal etmiştir. Söz konusu intikalin ve dönüşümün en belirgin okunabileceği isimlerden biri de Platon’dur. Bu makale, antik Yunan toplumundaki dinî atmosferin ve tanrılaşma merkezli ritüellerin, felsefî bir metin olarak Şölen’e etkisi üzerinde durmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bir drama olarak Şölen’in fizikî atmosferi ve felsefî teması, insanın ölümsüzlük arayışı merkezinden incelenmiştir. Şölen’de Eros’un tabiatının ve işlevinin, tanrı-insan ilişkisiyle irtibatı da ölümsüzlük ve tanrıya benzeme temalarıyla bağlantısı ortaya konulmuştur. Platon’un bu konuyu işleyişiyle, Dionysos dininde yer alış şekli arasında herhangi bir irtibat olup olmadığı makalenin temel sorusudur.
